La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de Estados Unidos dio a conocer hoy la lista de nominadas y nominados a la 95 edición de los premios Oscar, que se llevará a cabo el próximo 12 de marzo y Pinocho del cineasta mexicano Guillermo del Toro compite en la categoría de Mejor Película Animada. 

Pinocho de Guillermo del Toro, que ya obtuvo el Globo de Oro y el premio de los Critics Choice Awards como Mejor Película de animación, ahora competirá por el Oscar contra las cintas Red, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, Gato con botas: el último deseo y The Sea Beast. 

México también está representado por la película Bardo, falsa crónica de unas cuantas verdades, dirigida por Alejandro González Iñárritu, que está nominada en la categoría de Mejor Fotografía para Darius Khondji, así como por Alfonso Cuarón como productor del cortometraje Le Pupile.

La película que lidera las nominaciones es Todo en todas partes al mismo tiempo (Everything Everywhere All at Once), con 11 nominaciones, le siguen la cinta irlandesa Los espíritus de la isla (The Banshees of Inisherin) y la alemana Sin novedad en el frente (Im Westen nichts Neues) con 9 nominaciones cada una, mientras que la película biográfica sobre el astro del rock and roll Elvis suma 8 nominaciones, y Los Fabelman de Steven Spielberg, con 7 nominaciones.

También destaca la nominación de la cinta Argentina, 1985, que se ubica como la favorita en la categoría Mejor Película Internacional y la nominación de Ana de Armas en la terna a Mejor Actriz, por su papel de Marilyn Monroe en Blonde, aunque la tiene complicada al competir con la favorita Cate Blanchett por su interpretación en Tár. 

En cuanto a mejor Actor principal el favorito es Brendan Fraser por su excepcional trabajo en The Whale, aunque también están nominados Austin Butler como Elvis, Colin Farrell por The Banshees of Inisherin, Paul Mesca por Aftersun y Bill Nighy por Living. 

Los nominados fueron anunciados este martes en un evento en vivo en Los Ángeles presentado por los actores Allison Williams y Riz Ahmed, mientras que el encargado de conducir la ceremonia de la 95ª edición será el cómico y presentador Jimmy Kimmel, quien ya lo hizo en 2017 y 2018.
